WSA School Program

Wheelchair Sports Alberta is proud to present the WSA Schools Program. Supporting the Calgary and Surrounding areas. This program provides options for WSA provided programming, rentals, and even individual chair rentals with customization available for dates and bookings to accomodate schools as needed. WSA Schools Program (Indigenous Athletics)

Operating out of the Edmonton and Surrounding Area. We are currently looking for partnership opportunities with Indigenous Organization(s), collaborating to continue an adaptive sports program to bring the experience to Indigenous communities, whether or not they are experiencing disability. Our goal for this program is to integrate Truth and Reconciliation with Adaptive Sports. Any Collaboration Inquiries please contact: kim@wheelchairsportsalberta.com. Glenrose Drop In Program

Every Thursday at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Centre, from 2pm-3pm in the main gym, WSA provides a drop in Wheelchair Sport session open to everyone. Drop in, say hi, and try wheelchair sports!

 

Terwillegar Drop In Program

Booster Juice Recreation Centre in Terwillegar, Wheelchair Sports Alberta in Collaboration with the City of Edmonton, Thursdays weekly 4:15p.m – 5:15p.m

 

Bridging the Gap (BTG) Have a Go Days

Our Have a Go Days offer a variety of different sports for participants to sample in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Veteran parasport athletes are brought in to demonstrate sports and share their stories of being a physically active person with a disability. The focus of Bridging The Gap is to introduce individuals with physical disabilities to recreational opportunities and promote an active, healthy lifestyle through continued involvement in parasport.
